Hi, I'm Lauren! I'm a first-year Ph.D. student at Clemson University under Dr. Larry Hodges in the Virtual Environments Group. Last year I graduated with a computer science degree from Winthrop University. Previously, I've done research in the Future Computing Lab at UNCC with Dr. Hodges and the CHCI at Virginia Tech with Dr. Scott McCrickard.

My research interests are mostly in human-computer interaction and virtual humans. I'd like to work towards extending the benefits of computing to people who wouldn't traditionally benefit from it by developing systems that are intuitive to use.

I also enjoy playing piano, reading good books, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, running, being outside, doing things with my church, and spending time with my amazing family and friends!
